Jesus heals
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14
Are you in need of healing? Your desperation won’t put off the Lord. God truly cares for us and still heals today. Bartimaeus, who was living with blindness, needed healing and he was insisting on Jesus hearing his call. “Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!””Mark 10:48 How great is the mercy of God, Jesus healed Him! Are you prepared for when Jesus is in town? Your miracle is waiting to happen as Jesus hears you.
Lord Jesus, thanks for being attentive when we call. Believing for healing in Jesus’ name.
Miracle of salvation
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Do you remember the day when you gave your life to the Lord? That day is so unforgettable for me. Salvation really is a miracle. The good news is that Jesus saves! As we continue to believe for loved ones to be saved, stay encouraged. We can pray for people that they would realise their need for God. We could pray that they would find themselves in the company of Christian people who could shine Jesus’ light and help them know the love of God. Our prayers cause heaven to move earth in what we call revival. Praise Jesus for the miracle of salvation.
Lord Jesus, thanks for saving my soul. You are always Lord of my life. Thanks for hearing my prayers for loved ones that they can know you as well, amen.
Staying in the love of God
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:4
Being close to Jesus is essential to the success of our lives. What happens when we invest in our relationship with God? The Lord will be on your mind and that will influence your decisions and responses towards the world around you. “I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning” Psalm 130:6. God loves our expectancy of Him. Remember the Lord’s love of you and stay in His love and you will flourish!
Heavenly Father, thanks for your presence and constant peace. Help me be thinking of you as I go about my day.
Reflecting Jesus
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17
God’s Word is life saving and life changing. The Bible is like a mirror, that helps us understand the ways of God and how we can reflect Jesus in the everyday. “because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror, for he has viewed himself and has gone away, and immediately he has forgotten of what manner he was.” James 1:23,24 The Holy Spirit is there as our helper, helping us have the wisdom to live the Word that we hear.
Lord Jesus, thanks for your help in how to live your in your ways.
Need of Jesus
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Sometimes we bake cookies at home. Is not long after we put them in the oven that they crisp up and are ready to eat! My favourite time to eat cookies is when they are just cooked, when they are warm and crisp. In the everyday, reaching out to God, how soon of waiting on Him that we are refreshed and renewed by the Holy Spirit. How great is our need of the Lord. Like a treasure you find, is your precious friendship with Jesus. And once you have adventured in your walk with Jesus, you just want more of God!
Lord Jesus, thanks for your being a help and shield to me. I look forward to every moment together in your presence.
Infinite understanding
Great is the Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5
Move over AI, God has infinite understanding, more than can be measured. God has the help we need. When we really have reliance on Jesus, how much that pleases the heart of God. If you can’t do what you do without the help of the Holy Spirit, you are among the most blessed. Every time you give your life to Jesus, you’re saying what your priorities are. Our worship of the Lord is holy. “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness”. Psalm 29:2
Lord Jesus, thanks for who you are to me. I want you to know I love you every day.
Spark
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
Have you been blessed and inspired from someone talking about their life in Christ? Today could be a good day to fire up in your walk with Jesus. What you surround yourself with, your friends, the Word, the environment you are in, can spark a renewed sense of devotion and passion for God. When we make a decision to go after the Lord with everything we have, there’s a beautiful peace on the journey of following Jesus. What can you build around your life that can encourage your faith today?
Heavenly Father, thanks that you are always there for me. Help me have courage to build up my spirit in you Jesus, amen.
Jesus the same
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
In our lives as believers we keep coming back to the never changing person of Jesus. Jesus is that wonderful that you can give your whole life to Him. Gratefulness and praise is our response to his righteousness, character and stability. God has been the same through the ages. You find the Word of God a strong foundation to build your life and relationship. Even in our society, when that is built on godly principles established in the Bible, there’s such a blessing that goes with that. How does the Word shape your day to day living?
Thanks Jesus, I lean on you each day. Help me build foundations in my life that are true to your Word.
Blessing
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
God has for us the power of blessing people. We all want to be blessed. Probably the best gift you could give someone this is to pray for them. Who could you bless today? As we lift up people to Jesus, God can cause His favour, His face to shine on them and for peace to be their portion. Who knows the way God will respond to our prayers for someone’s blessing.
Lord Jesus, today I bring you people that are on my heart, for your blessing, favour and peace to rest apon them.
Just ask!
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
Just like an apple seed will produce an apple tree, in the correct conditions; so if we are living in Jesus and dwelling on His Word, we can believe for answered prayers. The key is in the asking. That’s not nagging, that’s often necessary to seeing what we are asking for coming to pass. “You do not have because you do not ask.” James 4:2 We need the appropriate motives and just ask! Sometimes a prayer journal can help keep track of what you’re wanting to keep track of and all the blessings you have to be thankful to the Lord about.
Heavenly Father, thanks for your Word, that we can ask in Jesus’ name and believe for your will to come to pass and can thank you as well.
Passionate worshippers
Teach me Your way, O Lord, I will walk and live in Your truth; Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].
Psalm 86:11
Being a passionate worshipper of Jesus, causes us to align our lives with the God we believe in, his character impacts us to our core. The goodness and mercy of God is so beautiful. His love, truth and grace are seen in all his works. As we have a teachable posture, how much more are we able to learn and grow in our faith. “When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].” Psalm 27:8
Lord Jesus, I am hungry for your presence. Help me delight in you, worshiping you for who you are.
Our walk with Jesus
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
More than 2000 years ago, Jesus showed us the way of being his disciple, that is, each day carrying our cross, denying ourselves and following Him. Our personal walk with Jesus is the most important relationship we have and is worthwhile our everything. Praise God for Jesus, his restraint is easy and his burden is light. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29
Lord Jesus, I love being passionate about you. Teach me your ways that I may be your disciple and rest in you, amen.
Being love
Love is patient, love is kind. 1 Corinthians 13:4
In the love chapter, 1 Corinthians 13, gives us new knowledge of what love is and how we can love people well. God is the ultimate example of love and if we reflect on His love that is like a spring board for us to love. If being patient is a virtue that exemplifies love, then that’s valuable to work towards. How has the Lord helped you be patient in your journey? I know for me, God has helped me hold back, instead of speaking my mind, to pray in those moments, out loud if necessary, and that has helped me to calm and handle the conversation better. We know the kindness of God, because He sent Jesus to us, to save our lives. Kindness can be sacrificial as we humble ourselves to help others.
Heavenly Father, thanks for sending Jesus. Thanks for your lovingkindness. Help me to be mindful of being love to those close to me, amen.
Keep praising
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
Whatever you do, trust in Jesus, God has your life secure in Him. As we build our lives on the Word, putting those principles in place, there’s such a blessing for us in the Lord. Keep praising the Lord in the every day and you’ll find that your attitude is sweet and you will know the Lord going before you. Delighting in Jesus is key to dreams fulfilled. “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalm 37:4
Father God, thanks for always being there. I praise you today, for all you are to me. Help me delight in you as my Lord and Saviour.
Peace
I have told you all this so that you may have peace. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. Take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33
You have a unique gift in knowing Jesus. You get to be positive and at peace in the highs and lows of everyday. As long as we are alive, we have tribulations. Despite our trials and sorrows, God wants us to have peace. God says, “chin up,” because Jesus has overcome the world. Be encouraged, you never walk alone, you have the overcomer with you. Jesus has promised to always be with us.
Thanks Lord Jesus, I put my hope in your steadfast love. Help me keep in faith and peace.
Hope in the Lord
We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22
Living for Jesus is a narrow path. God wants us to put our hope in Him. Because the world doesn’t have our hearts, we are just focused on the upward call in Christ Jesus. Being close to Jesus, means you choose him above everything else. The Lord has a love that will not fail you. Father God has you and will always be there for you. Keep your faith in God to make paths in the wilderness. “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19.
Lord Jesus, your love is unfailing and I put my hope in
Telling everyone
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
When God calls us, He also equips us and prepares us. Just think how much God loves those who haven’t heard the gospel yet. He commissions us to tell everyone about the good news that Jesus saves. Is there a person or a group of people that you are compelled to lift up in prayer? Prayers make a way for the kiss of heaven to be on lives. If you have been praying for someone, keep praying, don’t give up. Remember the persistent widow who didn’t give up and was given what she had asked for (Luke 18:1-8).
Lord Jesus, thanks for every opportunity to share your good news and pray for those who are yet to know Jesus. I bring you_____________ and ask the Holy Spirit to move in their life, leading them to Jesus, amen.
Looking forward
Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalm 55:22
There are some burdens we were never made to carry. When the world puts worries on your shoulders, you are able to give them to Jesus. God wants our homes to be safe spaces, homes of peace. Praise Jesus for his wrap around presence that keeps us secure, especially when the storms of life blow. If you have been delivered in peace, you can help bring healing to those affected by weights they carry because of trauma and just be that person someone needs in Jesus.
Heavenly Father, you are our deliverer. I ask your Holy Spirit to minister in every aspect of our daily walk in you Jesus, amen.
Remembering Jesus
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:2
Imagine seeing a sunrise, you just want to declare the love of God that has always seen you through. At sunset, there you are again, proclaiming the faithfulness of God. The Lord is our keeper and He delivers us. Remembering Jesus in the middle of our busy days is like having a praise break! Could be time for another praise break, lol. In light of all Jesus has done for us, our delight is Him is more than a fad. Our passion for God means so much to Him.
Lord Jesus, thanks for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help me remember to praise you every day, amen.
Purpose calling
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
The goodness of God follows us(Psalm 23:6). Whatever the weather, whatever the circumstances, the Lord works all things for the good. Our peace doesn’t depend on our situations, our peace rests on knowing Jesus, the prince of peace. God has our best interest in mind, for all who love him and have purpose calling. Draw your strength from the Holy Spirit. The Lord doesn’t change. “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17
Heavenly Father, thanks for your goodness and mercy that follows us. Help me know that even when circumstances shift, you don’t.
