Humility prerequisite

“Making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding.” Proverbs 2:2

Knowing our need of Jesus and that we never arrive at having arrived on this side of eternity is a foundational blessing in our lives. God has great wisdom for every one of us. Like tuning up your instrument, we can make our ears attentive to the Lord. Having humility in Jesus is precious and is a prerequisite for living in sync with the Spirit. “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”Galatians 5:16 If you have chocolate bars you could eat, what would stop you eating them? If you have healthy foods available you are less likely to give in to unhealthy eating habits. When you are living, going after the Spirit, you are going to be in a really healthy place, far from the pitfalls of life.

Lord Jesus, help me keep tuned up to listen the Holy Spirit. Your wisdom puts me in good step to healthiness and wholeness.
