Delivered

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:16

Were you saved and delivered. Each one of us have a testimony of salvation of Jesus. Something you can tell others and is powerful because that’s your story. Is there someone you can tell your true to life story today? Are you prepared if you have an opportunity?

Our lives are set apart because our awesome God has reached for us and drawn us from deep waters, praise Jesus.

Thanks God for rescuing me and that salvation is in your name Jesus.

Life and blessing

I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love GOD, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Deuteronomy 30:19

Everyday we have a choice, life and blessing are the right choice. Praise Jesus that He tells us the answer, life! What a life to live, to love God and listen to the Word of God. That builds you up to be more of a blessing. What could you choose today that would be a life choice. The choice to love God and embrace Him. As we praise the Lord, we are loving Jesus.

Thanks Jesus for making it clear, choose life. God you are everything I love. Help me be listening for your Word today.

Help of the Holy Spirit

In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don't know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words.  Romans 8:26

Sometimes I want to pray except I’m not sure what to pray. When our prayers are limited, the Holy Spirit prays and intercedes for us. Thank God for the Holy Spirit that can help us. What a blessing is the language of the Holy Spirit. Time spent close to Jesus, that’s never wasted. When you go to pray, believe that God will take what you have and intercede as well.

Jesus, thanks for the Holy Spirit that intercedes as we pray. As I bring prayer to you God I believe the Holy Spirit is in prayer as well.

Believing

We continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.” 2 Corinthians 4:13

Believing in God determines one’s purpose to proclaim the Word. When you draw near to God, your passion for Jesus increases. That passion is what you bring as you declare the Word. That gives you the motivation for the longevity that you need to continue to proclaim, praise Jesus. What are you believing in God for today? There’s always something fresh in Jesus when you go to the Lord.

Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Thanks for the passion to proclaim your Word today.

Loyalty

Loyalty makes a person attractive Proverbs 19:22

Faithfulness and loyalty are good qualities to nurture and cultivate in your life. When someone is loyal, you can trust them. What are some of the best friends you have had. What makes the friendship great is the loyalty. Jesus is the best friend of all.

Thanks Jesus for your love and loyalty. Help me nurture loyalty in my life.

Like eagles

The strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired. Isaiah 40:31

Spending time in the presence of God can help revive you. When you are weak, the place to go is the presence of God. He can strengthen and renew you there.

We enter in, as we praise and worship Jesus. That could be like the default of your life to praise and worship Jesus and therefore enter the presence of Christ. You can then run and not become weary and walk and not get tired. Eagles catch the wind and glide, they soar. Our lives can be like that as we praise and worship Jesus.

Praise you Jesus for the strengthening and renewal of your presence.

Prayer answers

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and mire.   Psalm 40:1, 2

God answers prayer. Sometimes we need to wait patiently and be diligent and continue to pray. Have you ever felt like you needed God that much? When you are at the end of your rope, God is there to catch you. He can lift you above your circumstances of despair. Allow you hope to rest in the faith you have in God today in that He cares more for you than you know.

Lord Jesus, thanks for your presence that’s a constant blessing and that you hear and answer prayer. You are our comforter.

Praise the Lord

Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us Ephesians 3:20

God causes us great reason to praise. He is able to do more than we can ask or think. The Holy Spirit does a great work in our lives. What hopes, expectation do you have of the Lord? What are your dreams? God wants us to expect great, as then we are lead to pray prayers of great expectation. The Lord is our deliverer, Saviour, healer. Praise the Lord.

Jesus, thanks for your help that’s heaps more than we can dream. I pray for courage to believe and have faith.

Born again

1 Peter 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

God has great mercy for our lives, that we can be born again. What a forgiving God that we serve. God raised Jesus to life and defeated sin. What a great reason to praise Father God. We have a new life as a result of what Jesus did for our lives. Praise God.

Thanks Lord from the place in you of being born again, we pray and thank you Father God, in Jesus’ name.

Discipleship

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

What a mystery discipleship is and a good challenge to be a part of making disciples. Baptism is key to discipleship. Baptism is someone surrendering their life to Jesus totally. Just as Jesus died, as someone goes under the water and Jesus was raised to life, as they are taken up out of the water. This is significant in a believer’s life, a new life has begun. Praise Jesus for the gift baptism is.

Thanks Jesus for the miracle of discipleship and baptism. Praise you that everything is new in Jesus, we are new people.

Thankfulness

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Psalm 105:1

Thankfulness isn’t something that just happens, you can build an atmosphere of thankfulness. What God has done is more than can be expressed. Great and wonderful is our God. Have you ever felt that pumped about God that you just want to tell everyone. That’s how much God meant to the psalmist. If you thank God, that’s the entrance of Jesus’ presence. Praise God!

Thanks Jesus for who you are and what you have done. Help me be as pumped as never before to declare your praises.

God of our salvation

Help us, God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Psalm 79:9

God is our salvation. When you see someone that has their arm up when at the beach, you know they need help. If you are in the vicinity of a life guard they can rescue you. That’s what God can do when believers ask Him. Here the psalmist was calling for help to God. For God’s praise, the psalmist implores God. What better than to go to Jesus for help. God saves us, He has forgiveness. Praise Jesus.

Lord help me go to you as in you is help. Thanks for lighting the way from Scripture to live for you Lord Jesus.

Plan of praise

I give thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; I will sing praises before the gods. Psalm 138:1

To give thanks and praise to Jesus, that’s always a good plan. When you get an opportunity to praise, what a blessing to Jesus. Also that puts focus off circumstances and to Jesus. You can make your praise of God larger than everything. That’s worthwhile time spent. As you enter in, life is more balanced. If you put a time, same time every day, that can help with regularity.

Thanks Jesus, living for you is a great blessing. Thanks Lord for every day, sunshine, love and peace.

Light burden

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus wants to take our burdens as we go to Him. Jesus is gentle and humble and He wants us to learn from Him. God has rest for our souls as we are learning from Jesus. What Jesus expects us to carry, his yoke, is easy and his burden isn’t wearisome, it is light. What is something in your walk that God is teaching you at the moment? As we learn from Jesus the burden is less and the tether is light.

Lord Jesus, I love you and I want to go to you each day, I want to learn from you very much.

The promises of God

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20

All of God’s promises have a yes and amen. Praise Jesus. When you pray, God backs up every one of his promises. That’s a reason to pray the Scripture. As we pray, we are declaring God’s promises over the atmosphere and believing for Jesus’ blessing and prayer covering. If you think of all the promises God has made in the Bible, that’s pretty exhaustive. Praise Jesus that each one is yes and amen.

Lord Jesus, thanks for all the scriptures I can declare and believe.

Jesus Unlimited

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

When someone tells you know your limits that’s very true. All with one exception. The God we serve is unlimited. That our strength is not from on us alone, that’s Jesus that stays the same. When you place your life in Jesus Christ life, that changes everything. Jesus is strong on our behalf. God is our rock, deliverer and healer. In our weakness, God is praised.

Thanks Jesus I lean towards you, you stay the same. I need you in every area of my life. Thank you are strong when I am weak.

Pleasers of God

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5,6

When God is asking us to trust Him with all we are, that’s because He is strong and able to carry all we are. As we are seeking God in all that we do, that’s a reflection of lives that want to please Him and that realise God has all the answers.

There is God’s ultimate will and God’s permissible will. God knows the path and each one of us sure want to be in God’s ultimate will, praise Jesus. It probably isn’t that good to be people pleasers much, it sure is good to be God pleasers.

Lord, you are my God. Help me not lean on my understanding, to lean toward you every day. Teach me to seek you at every turn in life.

Alert and ready

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Ephesians 6:18

When you are in a sports game you are alert and ready. That’s kind of like the verse that we are poised and ready in our prayer life. Our heavenly language is such a blessing. Believers every where can benefit from our prayer with persistence as well. That makes a difference in believers lives, praise the Lord. We are setting the benchmark when praying on every occasion and whatever the day, that’s a good idea to pray.

Praise Jesus for the opportunity of prayer.

Holy Spirit Empowerment

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17

For every time you have put effort in to have a go, and missed success, there’s another opportunity. Challenges cause us to develop perseverance. How close is the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. There’s such a need for that fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. There we have a newness , an overcoming spirit and stability. Like pioneers, in Jesus we are taking new ground and praising the Lord as we go.

Lord Jesus, your love is great. Thanks for your Holy Spirit bringing comfort and grace. Help me to live from the fresh empowerment of your life Holy Spirit.

Prayer time

We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 2 Thessalonians 1:11

What a prayer time! That fervent prayer that God makes us worthy of his calling and according to Jesus’ will, every desire for good; and each good work you are believing for.

When reading of some of the great people of faith in the Bible and meeting some incredible people of God today, one can be overwhelmed at Jesus’ calling for our lives. Prayer can help us live up to our faith not under our circumstances. All is possible in faith in Jesus Christ, praise God.

Lord thanks for your calling. Help me live up to all you have called me to and thanks for every good work to happen as you being answered prayer, amen.
