Blessed worshippers

Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. Psalm 89:15

There is a calling on people’s lives to be worshippers of the Lord Jesus Christ. The key to walking in Jesus’ presence is worship, praise the Lord. Have you heard the call of worship in your life? To devote yourself to worshiping Jesus, what a passion and what a blessing to praise Jesus. As you go through your day, you are able to praise the Lord. Like stopping to smell the roses, taking time for worship is worthwhile time spent.

Praise Jesus for the presence of God. Help me walk in the light of your presence Lord.

Commitment of prayer

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Colossians 4:2

When you commit yourself to praying, what can be the result only heaven knows. Don’t know what to pray? You can begin thanking Jesus. Thank God for answers to prayer in advance. Prayer can bring a turning point in lives as we intercede. You never know what a difference prayer can make.

Thanks Jesus for the opportunity of praying today.

Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! And all the people shouted “Amen!” and praised the Lord. 1 Chronicles 16:36

We can edify each other in praising the Lord. Praise Jesus who is forever. How can you praise the Lord today? Praise him for who he is. Praise Jesus as creator. Praise God for being Lord! Our living God from everlasting to everlasting. That is beyond comprehension.

Praise you Jesus. You are the God of Israel. The Lord who lives forever.

The gospel

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16

The good news of the gospel is the power of God! When you declare to people of Jesus, the power of God brings salvation to everyone that believes. Over the years when I have met people and talked of Jesus, many have told me they had Christian family or friends that had prayed for them. If we pray for opportunities, God can bring people across your path as we have a readiness of telling the good news. Jesus saves!

Jesus, thanks for every opportunity of telling others of you.

Gratitude

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 118:1

When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. As we give thanks to God, we are reframing our thinking. Gratefulness can help you through a storm. After the verse there is a testimony of the Lord’s help. When you remember what the Lord has done, that can help you overcome in your everyday life.

Thanks Jesus your faithful love is beautiful. Praise you for all you are Lord.

Precious to God

Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people hate you, and exclude you [from their fellowship], and insult you, and scorn your name as evil because of [your association with] the Son of Man. Luke 6:22

You are blessed when you are insulted or excluded because you love Jesus. Because your full on for the Lord, sometimes you have to go to the back of the line. Ironically you are blessed when that happens. That can only be a God thing. Don’t allow the culture of our time to dampen your faith. Your faith in Jesus is precious to God.

Jesus, thanks for your love and closeness.

Place of refuge

Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5

Have you had a verse that made your day or was exactly what you needed. Grateful for the word of God. Time after time Scripture is true. He protects and shields all those who go to him for help. What a wonderful God we serve. That friend you can always count on. He’s there and cares for each one of us.

Jesus, thanks for being there. Thanks for your Word Lord. Help me go to you for a place of refuge.

Forgiveness

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Kindness is an essential in the overcoming life. I find when I have spent time with God I have extra kindness to give. God can help us forgive when that’s a difficulty. When you are tenderhearted, that’s being compassionate. God has forgiven us through Jesus. Therefore we can forgive others.

Jesus, thanks for forgiveness and the ability to forgive others. Help me be kind and compassionate as I go today.

Character of God

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. Psalm 103:8

Thank God for who he is. Jesus has a love that’s unfailing. Compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry, our God is worthy of all of our praise. When you think of the attributes of God, there’s a natural wonder. That can encourage you as you meditate on God’s character. We can also ask God to grow those elements in our lives.

Jesus, thanks for who you are. Help me to shine your love today.

Promises and prayer

He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. Romans 4:21

Faith is believing, being convinced God can do what he promises. That faith pleases God. When you have challenges, bring the Lord’s promises and prayer and see how your faith is strengthened. God cares. When you include Jesus in bringing complexities to him, you will be better off. Believing God is the sure way to the overcoming life.

Jesus, thanks you are always there. Help me believe you in everything.

Will to praise

You are my God, and I will praise you!

You are my God, and I will exalt you! Psalm 118:28

When you have the will to praise, that’s good and beneficial. The psalter called God, my God. That’s personal. God wants us to have a personal walk in Jesus. What  great reason to praise and exalt God. The creator of the heavens and earth invites us to know him as our God. That’s radical.

He isn’t just there somewhere, He’s close and real to our lives personally.

Praise you God for being close. I will exalt you and praise you. Thankyou for being my God.

Spiritual maturity

I don’t mean to say that I have already reached perfection. I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. Philippians 3:12

We have not arrived. Still on the way to perfection. When Jesus has all your attention, that causes you to press on in following Jesus. You can grow to spiritual maturity in the process of living for God. We are those who look forward, step up, believing God prepares the way before us. What’s something you could take courage in again today?

Lord Jesus thanks for leading onward and upward.

Faith filled prayer

You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it. Matthew 21:23

When you pray creative and faith filled prayers, what you expect will happen. Remember the way God has provided. That’s an answer to prayer. Remember all he has kept you from. That’s an answer to prayer. As you remember all that God has done your faith can grow and you can be encouraged to pray more prayers.

Jesus, thanks for answered prayer. Today I’m believing for …..

Jesus cares

Casting all your care apon Him, for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

God can take all our cares and worries apon him. Thanks how much he cares for us. He hasn’t designed us to carry everything ourselves. When you bring your cares to God, you’ll feel a new lightness in Jesus. How wonderful is the love of God.

Have you given your cares to him today?

Thanks Jesus that you care. I can bring you everything that you can take all my cares.

Love and faithfulness

It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:2

God has a love that you can depend on. We can declare God’s love and faithfulness every day. God has been there and God will always be there. Love that is unfailing and faithfulness that’s everlasting. Praise Jesus for who He is and what He has done! Jesus’ love can help you live like your head is held high.

Thanks Jesus for all you are. Your love is always there and you are very faithful.

Good change

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening- it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest for those who are trained in this way. Hebrews 12:11

People can hear the same thing and all hear a different message. We bring to our conversation our worldview. Listening intently to Jesus can change your life. When God is telling you something, He knows exactly the way to communicate with you, in love, grace and peace. When the Holy Spirit lights up the Word of God, that makes for great life application.

Thanks Jesus for knowing exactly what I need to work on and how I can improve.

Unfailing love

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

Great is the Lord’s love and that’s a love that doesn’t fail. That much that the psalmist exclaimed that He would sing forever of the Lord’s unfailing love. Have you a song to sing to Jesus of the Lord’s love. Praise Jesus! When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. Because of the love of God we can love others from God’s love through our lives.

Lord thanks for your unfailing love. What a blessing to know you and follow you Jesus. Help me love people from that example of your love. Praise you Jesus.

Lamp that guides

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

The word of God is a lamp to our feet that’s like just where your walking. Having a light when you are walking is essential as you can not trip up on your way. Scripture is a light for our path. That’s like hope, Scripture gives us the light to walk forward in confidence.

Jesus, thanks for the light of your word. Help me align my life to your word.

Praise Jesus

You are my God, and I will praise you!

You are my God, and I will exalt you! Psalm 118:28

God is not just everywhere, he’s also there for every one of us. Creator of the earth and universe and also mindful of our lives individually. When you think of the vastness of God and also the closeness of God to each one, you want to praise and exalt Jesus! If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, He’s your God. That’s something praise worthy and motivating.

God, you are my God and I will praise you and exalt you.

Community

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

Gratefulness for friendships that cause you to sharpen up and be better in life. Everyday life is meant for community because, together we can do more good. That friendship with Jesus is the greatest of all. What has God ministered to you of late in your daily walk?

Thanks Jesus for everything you are that you are the close friend that sharpens. Help me live well in community and build quality friendships.
