Praising Jesus

The Lord lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47

Praising Jesus is a believer’s joy. God is real, alive and our rock. The Lord is worthy of our praises. The Holy Spirit causes praise to bubble up in our lives. There isn’t a day that there are not uncountable reasons to praise Jesus. The way you praise the Lord causes a change in the atmosphere.

Lord Jesus, praise you, you are wonderful, great and you reign.

When feeling overwhelmed

Casting all your care apon Him, for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Once in the country I went berry picking with my sister. When I had gathered all these berries, as well as eating some, there was no space for more berries in my bucket. I had to empty the bucket to collect more berries. When feeling overwhelmed, God says He’s the one we can pour out our lives to, in order to keep going.

There are times when God seems even closer, and more often than not, that’s when reaching out to Him. God really cares for us. He wants us to give our cares to Him, because He cares for us. Where else would you go? Praise the Lord!

Thanks Jesus, I can go to you whenever I need and know that you are there for me.

Free in Jesus

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

Have you ever been at the top of a hill and taken in the beautiful view? That’s what life’s like to be free and God wants to set us free. God’s Word is the truth and when we know God, He sets us free. God’s Word is the good foundation we are building our lives on. As we pray and as we study the Bible, we will grow. Maybe it seems like a small part of your day, except that really matters.

Jesus, you mean the world to me. Thanks that you have set me free.

Stronger

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22

Jesus is our help and our shield. What better place to put your hope than in the Lord? Discouragement can weigh us down, go to the Lord and find the encouragement you need. Just one encounter with God can help you go stronger. When you gather with other believers to pray, what the Holy Spirit can do is wonderful. What we are believing for is about to be a miracle.

Thanks Lord for your unfailing love. Help me live in that dynamic calling in the Lord, hearing and obeying you Jesus.

Love of God

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

Great is the Lord’s love and that’s a love that doesn’t fail. That much the psalmist exclaimed that He would sing forever of the Lord’s unfailing love. Have you a song to sing to Jesus of the Lord’s love. Praise Jesus! When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. Because of the love of God we can love others from God’s love through our lives.

Lord thanks for your unfailing love. What a blessing to know you and follow you Jesus. Help me love people from that example of your love. Praise you Jesus.

Hope in God

being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised. Therefore his faith WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS (right standing with God). Romans 4:21,22

As the Lord spoke to Abraham, he believed what God said. When you believe God at his Word and are fully convinced of his promises, that is a righteous place to be. Even in waiting seasons, we can still believe that everything God says will happen, will happen. Have hope in God, because He is always the same. What has God whispered to your soul that you can keep close in remembrance?

Thanks Jesus, your voice helps me keep faith. Your Word is my delight.

Grace that carries us

M hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all. Psalm 34:19

Whatever your day has been like, the Lord has been the grace to carry you through. Sometimes we may not even realise how much God has protected us, saved us and what He has rescued us from. What a wonderful God we serve. If we can catch a vision of the way God cares for us, and guards our lives, we may never cease to give Him praise.

Praise you Lord. Your saving grace makes me want to praise you and bless you all the day.

Believing

Thousands and thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the Lord will soon arrive. Joel 3:14

How do we reach people who are yet to know Jesus, primarily through prayer. As you ask the Lord to move in other’s lives, what happens is only known in eternity. Have you ever witnessed to someone and they tell you their family of close friend is a Christian. Seems to me that that’s often the case. When people are put before Jesus constantly, the Holy Spirit makes a way for our loved ones to hear about Jesus. Praise God! Keep believing that your prayers are heard and that God answers prayer in real time.

Thanks Lord Jesus, I believe you are making a way for people to hear of you and know you by the Holy Spirit.

Bringing the praises

O God, my heart is steadfast [with confident faith]; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. Psalm 108:1

Has someone’s passion to praise God inspired you? That passion is very catchable. The kind of passion that causes us to bring praises to God regularly. Sometimes we need to stir up our lives to praise the Lord. You can edify yourself to sing to Jesus each new day. With confidence you can have faith in Jesus. As we bring our sacrifice of praise, what a blessing to the Lord and a blessing to our day as well.

Thank you Lord for the opportunity to praise you each day.

Place of righteousness and strength

The people will declare, “The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” Isaiah 45:24

Delighted that we have Jesus. God is our righteousness and strength. There is no where else you could go to find that. The Lord is our source, our place of being right with God and being strong. We have been called out of darkness and into His marvellous light and we can declare Jesus’ praises (1 Peter 2:9).

Thanks Lord, that you make us right with you. Praise you for being the strength we need.

New people in Jesus

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Galatians 2:20

We have recently been celebrating Easter, Jesus’ death and resurrection. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we are now crucified with Him, our old self, and Jesus lives in us. Wherever you go, Jesus shines through your life. Our Lord has made us new people in Him. Have you a testimony of how God has worked through your life, that couldn’t be except Jesus is living in your life?

Thanks Jesus, you’re my Lord and I am grateful that my old self is crucified with you, and Jesus lives in me.

Dealings of God

“I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:6

To have Jesus in your life is to be blessed more than you can keep to yourself. You want to tell others about God because He is so very good. David the psalmist knew the goodness, mercy and unfailing love of God to be following him all the days of his life (Psalm 23:6). The dealings of God are bountiful towards us because of Jesus, we have the favour of the Lord apon our lives.

Thanks Lord Jesus, your goodness and mercy is wonderful. I am so grateful for your grace.

Just one word from God

I rejoice at Your word, As one who finds great treasure. Psalm 119:162

If you just have one word from God, that can sustain you and keep you through a wilderness or a desert season. Do you have a word from Jesus that you can keep tucked away in your heart? That’s like Mary, the mother of Jesus. She kept the words from the Lord in her heart (Luke 2:19). There’s nothing like the voice of the Lord to encourage and bring wisdom.

Lord Jesus, how much I love you. Thank you for your Word. Help me treasure the words I hear from you, amen.

Celebrating Jesus

This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

God makes each day so beautifully. Every sunrise and sunset tells of the greatness of God. As you go through your day, remember the Lord is present with you. We can celebrate Jesus and have happiness knowing the Lord has made the day. How can you rejoice in your day? Giving praise to Jesus is the best way to celebrate the Lord.

Praise you Jesus, you are so wonderful the way you create each new day.

Keeping Jesus close

You who [reverently] fear the Lord, trust in Lord, He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11

To have respect of the Lord, is a non negotiable. If you can keep close to Jesus, always considering Him as you make plans, putting Him first, what a difference that would make in life. How big is God to you? We know He is huger than we can imagine and yet we can so easily settle for the circumstances that seem to be what’s happening, instead of challenging our faith and bringing the Lord into our impossibilities, to see what He wants to say.

Thanks Jesus, you are my help and my shield. Grateful that you walk with me everyday.

Beginning of success

[Jesus explained,] ‘I tell you that to every one who has [because he valued his gifts from God and has used them wisely], more will be given; but from the one who does not have [because he disregarded his gifts from God], even what he has will be taken away.’ Luke 19:26

Our stewardship of what God has given us, can cause a multiplication, of what gifts we have. Are there areas of your life that you can pick up and make useful again? What would you like multiplied in your life for the glory of God. Training and preparation is the beginning of great success. Whatever you invest in, will increase, given time. Maybe today is a great day to begin.

Thanks Lord for opportunities in life. Help me be a good steward of my gifts and resources, for your praise Jesus, amen.

Our worship belongs to Jesus

To whom then will you liken God? Or with what likeness will you compare Him? Isaiah 40:18

There is nothing we can even imagine or compare that we could liken God to. The Lord is holy and righteous. He is omnipotent, omnipresent and great! Even though we don’t make gods in our culture, we can still love life sometimes a little too much when we need to give all the praise and glory to God. Our worship belongs to Jesus. God is the one that no one compares to. Praise Jesus!

Thank you Lord for who you are. I worship you with reverence and respect.

Lights up your path

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Where are you going if you don’t know where you are? Have you ever been at an event and you have lost who you were with. When you finally find them, you feel much better. I feel like that with scripture. Until I am back, reading the word I feel out of sorts. The Word of God shines a light wherever you go and lights up your path. There’s comfort, direction and even discipline as you read the Word.

Thanks Jesus, your Word keeps me on the path following you. Help me stay close to you and be filled with your Holy Spirit every day.

God can make you strong

Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my good news says. Romans 16:25

Praise Jesus that God can make us stronger as we are connected in the Lord. Also when you are feeling weak you can bring that to God that you can find strength in Jesus. Bringing all the praise to God that he can cause us to grow strong. Do you have a testimonial of ways God has made you stronger?

Jesus, thanks for helping our lives be strong in you Lord.

Hope of the righteous

The hope of the righteous is gladness. Proverbs 10:28

Sometimes we need to clear out thinking space to realise how blessed we are. God is there championing us to be all He created us to be. There is gladness knowing you are in right standing with God. Jesus calls us beloved, righteous, and worthy. Our hope is secure in God, and that brings happiness. What would life be without Him? That would be unimaginable. God is our hope and our song.

Thanks Lord Jesus, your love means so much to me. Help me find all hope in you.
