Precious relationship

May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers. Psalm 20:5

Becoming a prayer warrior is a process. Although I count myself a novice, I have learned that just like a fire, the wood needs a stoke, so we often need to stoke our lives with heaven’s anointing. The Holy Spirit is the great counsellor. If we can go to Him, asking what is on His heart, we are stoking our lives in the Lord. How much the Lord loves us to go to Him. There is much He would say if we are listening. Praise the Lord, a very precious relationship.

Thanks Jesus, help me get fired up for you. Amen.

Hope in Jesus

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:16

We are already delivered. From the time Jesus died on the cross and then rose from the dead, we have been set free. If you can understand just how much Jesus cares, that at the moment you call, He is there to draw you from deep waters. The comfort the Holy Spirit can bring, could make your day. “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” Jeremiah 17:7

Thanks Jesus, you are the hope of the ages. Help me find you in the middle of every day.

Witnesses of Jesus

You will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is such a blessing. God can have anyone make an impact, if they are willing. If you hunger after God and seek Him, you are a candidate to be a part of great happenings. He has the help we need to be effective witnesses of Jesus. Although we are weak vessels, God can still take what we bring to Him in our communities and make a difference.

Thanks Lord, for the opportunity of being your disciple. How much I need you Holy Spirit.

Love unfailing

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

You can never forget when someone treats you with great kindness. Someone took you in, when you were at your lowest ebb. A friend rang you, on your birthday. The psalmist was greatly impacted at the Lord’s unfailing love. The Lord’s unfailing love is something to make melodies about. Knowing Father God has love that is consistent all our lives, is a cause of happiness and peace.

Thanks Lord Jesus, I’m grateful for your love and faithfulness. Help me remember to sing to you always.

Equip and enable

So we keep praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. 2 Thessalonians 1:11

When you read about great people of faith, you can be challenged to want to be like them, which is great, except we need that God factor to live up to everything God calls us to. God has mighty power! We can believe that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the power to carry out the work of Jesus on the earth. The Holy Spirit can equip and enable us to take each step of faith, in following Jesus.

Praise you Lord! Help me to be motivated and lead of your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Carries us

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

Have you ever walked to the grocery store, and walked back with heaps more bags than you had expected. By the time you get home, you just drop the bags and sigh in relief. When life becomes burdensome, there is Jesus, ready and willing to give you rest. He has a gentle way about him. His restraint is not arduous and Jesus’ burden is light. Jesus invites us to take His yoke apon us. How tenderly He asks us.

Thanks Jesus, your love is beautiful, I want to go to you in every need, remembering you.

Fear of the Lord

Teach me Your way, O Lord, I will walk and live in Your truth; Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].

Psalm 86:11

To know the ways of the Lord is wonderful. God is great and when our lives are after the Lord’s heart, we are captivated at the wonder of His majesty. The power of worship is that we are swept up in the awesomeness of God. You never leave the  same. The fear of the Lord has us delighting in the truth.

Lord Jesus, I praise you and thank you for your ways. Help me live in the wonder of you.

Supernatural Grace

You will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

There is supernatural grace apon people as they go, called to share about Jesus. What the Holy Spirit can do, is cause you to be stirred in your passion, faith and fervency. It is in our devotedness to Jesus, that we become willing and eager to take a step of faith, however small that might seem.

Thank you Lord Jesus, your presence is everything. Praying that I could have opportunities to share the gospel.

Love of peace

Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. Psalm 37:37

There is a beautiful time ahead awaiting those who love peace. Most of all, being at peace with God, covered in His righteousness causes every area of our lives to flourish. Praise God for the Holy Spirit who helps us in our daily lives. There are some people who you look up to because they consistently live well for Jesus. Their good lives are an example to follow.

Thanks Lord Jesus, you cause everything to work together for good (Romans 8:28), bless your name.

Hope in the Lord

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

As believers, the Holy Spirit causes us to rise up in faith. We have courage not because of our circumstances, just because we know the God we serve fights our battles with us. Praise the Lord! Hope in the Lord is perpetual. We are seated in Jesus, in heavenly places. The kind of resolve we have, is from our identity in God. Being strong is what God commands us, because we are called to great exploits in Him. What a marvellous life we have in Jesus, that the Holy Spirit causes us to overcome and even help others along the way.

Thanks Lord Jesus, being strong and taking courage in you.

Keep believing

I would have dispaired unless I had believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13

Each new day, the sun continues to rise and set. There are new mercies every day. You will not faint, because of your belief. Keep believing. Jesus is the God of hope. Do you believe you will see the goodness of the Lord on the earth? That God knows and cares for your life? You can live in faith that good things will happen. You have a hope and future in Jesus. You don’t need to dispair because you have faith, faith in Jesus.

Praise you Lord, I have faith in you Jesus.

Reason to bless

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Ephesians 6:18

We can stoke up the fire of our prayer life in Jesus. There’s always a reason to communicate with the Lord. Here, we are encouraged to pray for believers everywhere. You can make a good difference. As we remember others, we are enlarging the blessing of God on lives (Isaiah 54:2). Just in making mention of people to the Lord, heaven can move earth to help them.

Thanks Lord Jesus, I want to seek you and pray for believers everywhere.

Grace and wonder

The Lord is gracious of full of compassion, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. Psalm 145:8

When you ponder on the ways of the Lord, that is awe inspiring. How do you see the Lord. If we gauge how we see the Lord by circumstance, we could often be confused. Except thank God for the Bible, that helps us understand who Jesus is. He’s gracious and filled with compassion. God won’t get angry quickly and has so much love that He has demonstrated in dying on the cross (Romans 5:8-10). We have salvation because of Jesus’ real love!

Thanks Lord Jesus, your lovingkindness and grace is remarkable and inspires me to make who you are larger than what I comprehend, because you are Lord.

Praising Jesus

The Lord lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47

Praising Jesus is a believer’s joy. God is real, alive and our rock. The Lord is worthy of our praises. The Holy Spirit causes praise to bubble up in our lives. There isn’t a day that there are not uncountable reasons to praise Jesus. The way you praise the Lord causes a change in the atmosphere.

Lord Jesus, praise you, you are wonderful, great and you reign.

When feeling overwhelmed

Casting all your care apon Him, for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Once in the country I went berry picking with my sister. When I had gathered all these berries, as well as eating some, there was no space for more berries in my bucket. I had to empty the bucket to collect more berries. When feeling overwhelmed, God says He’s the one we can pour out our lives to, in order to keep going.

There are times when God seems even closer, and more often than not, that’s when reaching out to Him. God really cares for us. He wants us to give our cares to Him, because He cares for us. Where else would you go? Praise the Lord!

Thanks Jesus, I can go to you whenever I need and know that you are there for me.

Free in Jesus

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

Have you ever been at the top of a hill and taken in the beautiful view? That’s what life’s like to be free and God wants to set us free. God’s Word is the truth and when we know God, He sets us free. God’s Word is the good foundation we are building our lives on. As we pray and as we study the Bible, we will grow. Maybe it seems like a small part of your day, except that really matters.

Jesus, you mean the world to me. Thanks that you have set me free.

Stronger

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22

Jesus is our help and our shield. What better place to put your hope than in the Lord? Discouragement can weigh us down, go to the Lord and find the encouragement you need. Just one encounter with God can help you go stronger. When you gather with other believers to pray, what the Holy Spirit can do is wonderful. What we are believing for is about to be a miracle.

Thanks Lord for your unfailing love. Help me live in that dynamic calling in the Lord, hearing and obeying you Jesus.

Love of God

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

Great is the Lord’s love and that’s a love that doesn’t fail. That much the psalmist exclaimed that He would sing forever of the Lord’s unfailing love. Have you a song to sing to Jesus of the Lord’s love. Praise Jesus! When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. Because of the love of God we can love others from God’s love through our lives.

Lord thanks for your unfailing love. What a blessing to know you and follow you Jesus. Help me love people from that example of your love. Praise you Jesus.

Hope in God

being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised. Therefore his faith WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS (right standing with God). Romans 4:21,22

As the Lord spoke to Abraham, he believed what God said. When you believe God at his Word and are fully convinced of his promises, that is a righteous place to be. Even in waiting seasons, we can still believe that everything God says will happen, will happen. Have hope in God, because He is always the same. What has God whispered to your soul that you can keep close in remembrance?

Thanks Jesus, your voice helps me keep faith. Your Word is my delight.

Grace that carries us

M hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all. Psalm 34:19

Whatever your day has been like, the Lord has been the grace to carry you through. Sometimes we may not even realise how much God has protected us, saved us and what He has rescued us from. What a wonderful God we serve. If we can catch a vision of the way God cares for us, and guards our lives, we may never cease to give Him praise.

Praise you Lord. Your saving grace makes me want to praise you and bless you all the day.
