Every spiritual blessing
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3
What’s special is seeing a double rainbow in the skies, after the rain. Like that, there’s a beautiful grace that overarches our lives, in Jesus. Knowing the Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing, is a comfort. We are able to step in to all God has called us to, with boldness and faith.
Thanks Father God, praise you for your mercies and grace and that we can live in every spiritual blessing in Jesus.
Fixing our lives to Jesus
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
I like reading the news each day. Sometimes, there’s a really good article. We can pin our lives to news headlines or latest trends, or we can fix our lives to the living Word of God. As we seek Him at every turn, God will flatten the way before us. What has the Holy Spirit shown you lately? God has answers that are even beyond our comprehension, so that we can lean on not our understanding, instead leaning on the Spirit of God.
Thanks Jesus, you are my inspiration. I want to be close to you.
Believing the best
Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6
Being near the good shepherd, is a worry free life. You know that the goodness and mercy of the Lord is there, following you all the days of your life. Get swept up into the love of God and you will live life beaming. Wherever you go, there is Jesus. You have a dwelling place in the Lord forever. We are living in a time that we are seeing the promise of God fulfilled, a time of real miracles and answered prayers. What are you believing for at the moment?
Lord Jesus, I love dwelling in your house always. Thanks for your goodness and mercy. Believing to see real miracles in our time, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Remembering Jesus
He was saying, “Abba, Father! All things are possible for You; take this cup [of judgement] away from Me; but not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:36
The hardest times are the closest to the Lord. Jesus knew God could rescue Him from the pain, still He surrendered to God. We read about Jesus agonising about the journey of suffering He was about to embark on. And yet, because of the hardships Jesus went through, He can also understand our sufferings. He is there to comfort and listen and love us. When you are low, remember He is high, ready to pick you up and bring you peace.
Lord Jesus, I remember you, thank you for the path you took for our salvation. Help me draw near to you, because I know you understand.
Prayer of blessing
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
There is a key in biblical declarations and spoken prayers. As you pray for your loved ones, knowing the Lord backs up the Word; what happens from heaven to earth is undeniable. The power of God really makes an impact as we stretch ourselves in prayer. Believing prayers of blessing and of peace make a generational difference. What could you practically ask God today?
Thanks Lord Jesus, your blessing and keeping power is what I’m believing for, that my family and friends will be blessed.
Jesus’ love
I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1
The Lord has a love that is so precious that He loves us unconditionally and we are blessed to receive the love of God each day. Have you a testimony of the love of the Lord in your life? How good is God! Jesus is always there for us and protects and helps in every season. Like the skies above us, Jesus has a love just as high.
Thanks Jesus, I love celebrating your love. Help me to remember that you love me each day, amen
Moments being with Jesus
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
Discipleship doesn’t just happen, there’s an intentionality about helping people grow in their faith. Turning to Jesus is what we do each day afresh. Moments being with Jesus are like stepping into sunlight. Sunlight you want to share to those alongside you. What is something small you could to that might encourage someone in their faith in Jesus?
Lord Jesus, thanks for small opportunities to share who you are with those close to me.
Because of great love
Offer righteous sacrifices; Trust [confidently] in the Lord. Psalm 4:5
Knowing we are righteous in Jesus, is key to our bringing righteous sacrifices to God. Because of the great love of the Lord, He sent Jesus to die for us and we have now been justified by the blood of Jesus. We can, with confidence, trust in Jesus. Living in the victory of Jesus, from there we pray and praise and worship God. We can enter in to the very presence of God!
Thanks Jesus, I am very grateful to be able to walk in your presence, rejoicing and praising you Lord.
Lamp of our lives
Lamp of our lives
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
Are you a summer person or do you love winter? There’s just so much rain where I live at the moment. Listening to rain is glorious. I do like rainy days. When really raining, you need to drive with your headlights on to have a safe drive. You find that the Word of God is a light in your lives. The best way to live is to have the Word that shines light wherever you go.
Lord Jesus, I am thankful for your Word, shining light each new day.
Kept in peace
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
There is a peacefulness that believer’s have. We have praise when we could have complaint. Our heart is kept in peace of the Lord. That doesn’t mean you don’t have hard times. What that means is God journeys with you in life. As you keep acknowledging Jesus in your life, you are saying, “I need you God.”
Thanks Jesus, your presence and peace means so much. Help me remember you all the day.
Purpose in praise
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Psalm 105:1
We could never thank Jesus enough for all He’s done. As we declare the greatness of God, there we find purpose for the day. How excited is the psalmist here?! There’s so much to be thankful about and so much to tell of Jesus. Have you ever had some wonderful news to share with your loved ones? You just can’t wait to get to deliver the news. Knowing God is like that. There are new facets of the character of God to discover and rejoice in.
Thanks Jesus, you are my reason and purpose. I love to praise you.
Eternally
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Have you ever been needing something from the shop late at night, except all the shops are closed? Jesus is always there, 24/7 and He is the same eternally. What else would you want to build your entire life apon? Only the solid foundation of Christ Jesus. He can be what we have reliance upon every day of our lives.
Thanks Jesus, I keep thinking of you as my rock. Thanks for being there, even at a thought. Wherever I am you are close.
Rescued and delivered
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us Ephesians 3:20
All of our prayers, God hears and is able to do more than we could ask or think of. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead, lives in us today. The power of God is real and makes a difference in the world around us. People are still being saved, rescued and delivered. Lives are being transformed by the gospel. What could you dare to ask God for today?
Dear Lord Jesus, help me to believe you in the everyday.
Jesus’ mercy
1 Peter 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
Because of God, we have a new life in Christ Jesus. He has such mercy that we have been born again. That is reason for praise and thankfulness to God. As you bring all your praise to God, what a blessing to Jesus. As we lift up Jesus, we welcome the presence of God in our lives.
Thanks for your great mercy Lord, that I am a new creation in you Jesus.
Wonder and amazement
and they recognised him as the very man who usually sat begging for coins at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement and were mystified at what had happened to him. Acts 3:10
There’s an exchange that happens when you encounter Jesus, and that changes you. The beggar was changed forever because the Lord healed him. He was praising the Lord. Such excitement filled the air as there was a new person there. What will you do with your suddenly? The man walked and leaped and praised God! The Holy Spirit is there today, just like in Bible times. We can pray for opportunities to encounter the presence of God and bring that into our world each day.
Thanks Jesus, that you still heal, transform and deliver. Help me to abound in praise and thankfulness for all you have done and what you are going to do, amen.
Miracles
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Mark 16:17-18
When you go to pray for people, you can really believe that they will be healed. That’s one of the benefits of believing in Jesus. We get to be recipients of miracles, in Jesus’ name. How much God makes a difference when we pray, is unsearchable. The very laws of nature are bent for believers, not being hurt when should be. How can you find yourself in a place where you are believing for the impossible in Jesus?
Thanks Jesus, I believe in you and your creative power in process. Praying for opportunities to grow in faith.
Being a blessing
Let all that you do be done in love
1 Corinthians 16:14
There’s often much to be done in the day. We can make moments special as we put that little extra into the way that we love.
Thoughtfulness is often a surprise. You never know how much your friendship could mean to someone. Often, Jesus had compassion upon people. Our compassion can lead us to help people, that we wouldn’t usually.
Lord Jesus, help me be mindful of people, as I live for you each day.
Our help
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Making space for the Spirit of God bears great fruit. What is the Lord ministering to you at the moment? God is our help. You can talk to Jesus about whatever is on your mind. He cares. If we can lift Jesus up more than any other worries or cares, what a delight. He protects us, goes ahead of us and prepares a path for us to walk free and whole.
Thanks Lord Jesus, you are my inspiration Holy Spirit. Thanks for being there Lord.
Praise the Lord
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Psalm 105:1
Thankfulness isn’t something that just happens, you can build an atmosphere of thankfulness. What God has done is more than can be expressed. Great and wonderful is our God. Have you ever felt that pumped about God that you just want to tell everyone. That’s how much God meant to the psalmist. If you thank God, that’s the entrance of Jesus’ presence. Praise God!
Thanks Jesus for who you are and what you have done. Help me be excited to declare your praises.
Light steps
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. Psalm 68:19
The Lord lifts us up as we journey through life. God causes us to sing a new song, because of his faithfulness. What we carry, we don’t carry alone. God bears our burden. We can walk along with light steps. What a wonderful Saviour. Jesus saves us and redeems our lives. There is much to be thankful about.
Lord Jesus, I’m grateful for your help every day. Thanks for saving me.
