Love of God

For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence]. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:11,12

Worship and reverence for the Lord, attracts the lovingkindness of God. Such is the expanse from the heavens to the earth that God’s lovingkindness is immeasurable. If you can just turn up in the weekdays and on weekends too, creating spaces to worship the Lord, more and more felt will be His love and presence as we delight in Him!

Freely we can enter His presence. God has taken our sins away, once again, in immeasurable measure. We are children of God and because of Jesus, the apple of His eye, His beloved. As we delight in Him, He delights in us. “When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].”” Psalm 27:8

Thanks Lord Jesus, I delight in you. You are my place of worship and peace. Thanks for your forgiveness and clean slate, that I can follow you with all of my heart

The good news

Thousands and thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the Lord will soon arrive. Joel 3:14

Praying for the multitudes can make a real difference. How many thousands are there of people just waiting, ready to hear the good news. We can stand in the gap for these people and believe they could hear the good news of the gospel (Ezekiel 22:30). The Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus and we can be those ones who bridge lives from where they are, to knowing the Lord.

Father God, I lift up the multitudes of people waiting to hear about you Jesus. Praying there would be an outpouring of your Spirit, that many lives could be saved by your precious blood Jesus.

Jesus is alive

The Lord lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 Samuel 22:47

Jesus is alive in our world today! Wherever you go, He is there as well. You just want to praise God and bless him because of his greatness, because of his sovereignty and grace. How blessed is the name of the Lord, our rock, solid when all else is changing. That we are saved is a miracle in Jesus. God has written us a love story and that’s the Bible to us. God loved the world so much that He sent Jesus! (John 3:16).

Thank you Jesus, you are exalted above all. I am grateful for you being the rock of my salvation.

Recipients of transformation

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

Being around good people, some good can get on you. There’s times of encouragement and even challenge that sharpens you up. Being at Hillsong Conference this week has been an inspiration to live connected and be real about getting changed on the inside. What has influenced you into growing in your walk with Jesus recently? There are unforgettable times of impact that can see us be all we can be in Christ.

Father God, I am grateful for your Word and those who teach your Word. Shine your light apon your Word that my life can be transformed, amen.

Love of God

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

Have you any recipes that are no fail recipes. They always work out well. Great is the Lord’s love and that’s a love that doesn’t fail. That much the psalmist exclaimed that He would sing forever of the Lord’s unfailing love. Have you a song to sing to Jesus of the Lord’s love. Praise Jesus! When gratefulness fills our lives, that is a good place to be. Because of the love of God we can love others, from God’s love through our lives.

Lord thanks for your unfailing love. What a blessing to know you and follow you Jesus. Help me love people from that example of your love. Praise you Jesus.

Jesus understands

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Have you seen sheep, they all like to stay close together, as they feel safe there. In some cultures the shepherd’s stay with the sheep as well. The Lord is our good shepherd and cares for everyone of us. God cares about you. When you feel anxiety, you can give that to Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our councillor and comforter. He has the unique ability to totally understand us, comfort and help. What can you give to the Lord today knowing He cares about you?

Thanks Lord Jesus for your care. I give you my worries and cares.

Holy Spirit’ life

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1,2

The Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. At the very beginning, there was the Holy Spirit. God still moves today just like He did back then. Is there an area of your life that you could specifically ask the Spirit of God to hover over? In the space you give to be in the presence of God, there the Holy Spirit can create and be present in your life in amazing ways.

Father God, thanks for every opportunity to seek and serve you. Help me make spaces where I can stay in your presence, amen.

In simplicity

You are my God, and I will praise you!

You are my God, and I will exalt you! Psalm 118:28

That song of praise you sing to Jesus can change the atmosphere. Great purpose is there in praising and exalting the Lord. We can have the mindset of, “how can I bless the Lord today?” In simplicity and sincerity we can bring our best to Jesus. Imagine walking along and seeing a little flower and you pick that flower. Each one of us are loved by the Lord. When we declare who God is, we can be like that flower. God notices true praise!

Thanks Lord, I love to praise and exalt you.

Praise in song

“I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:6

When you are very thankful for Jesus’ love, you just want to praise Him. Has the Lord been good to you? As a believer, your life in God is a testament to His goodness and grace. Creating words and music around your story, can be beautiful to God. Have you a song that has yet to be sung, to declare the greatness of the Lord in your world?

Thanks Jesus, everyday is a blessing. Praising you is such purpose.

Being strong and courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Being strong and courageous takes encouragement, which is what the passage of Scripture is, such an encouragement. Knowing the Lord is with you, always fighting for you and in your corner, helps you have a positive outlook. How do we be brave when our world makes us want to flinch and pull back? Setting the Lord and the Word as your guide each day, prepares you for being strong and resilient, having courage and confidence to move forward. There are new frontiers to our mission to be reached. If you can commit to the purpose God is calling you to, you find yourself being responsible and having courage.

Thanks Jesus, your help enables me to be strong and courageous, ready for all the good you have planned.

Lessons in wisdom

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good. Proverbs 19:8

The Lord has the wisdom needed for doing life well. He invites us to ask him for wisdom. God can help us avoid pitfalls and mistakes that we could make, if the Holy Spirit hadn’t been helping us. Are there areas you could do with some wisdom from God? I know I sure do! The Bible has so many lessons from people who sought the Lord, and discovered solutions, wisdom from heaven.

Thanks Lord, help me have wisdom as I make decisions each day.

Gratitude

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:16

Have you ever felt like you were in deep water, out of your depth? That feeling of being rescued is like total gratitude and being relieved. God, although He is high, He reaches to draw us up. The Holy Spirit helps in our weakness to exchange what we have for the strength of God. When you have no where else to go except the Lord, you grow in intimacy and become stronger in Jesus. Our relationship with Jesus is worth all of our hearts. As we wholeheartedly follow the Lord, we are changed and set apart.

Father God, thanks for your mercies and Jesus, that you have rescued me from deep waters.

Seeking the Lord

For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself. Luke 9:25

What is the value of a soul? Jesus is the lover of our souls. When we put our hope and love upon life success more than keeping our feet on the ground, what are we really losing? Jesus is our eternal light and keeping Him close is living in the light. As we do, we will keep ourselves from being distracted and being indifferent to our soul’s connection to God. Praise the Lord for the Holy Spirit! He always leads us into a closer relationship with God.

Thanks Jesus for your great love. Help me keep seeking you above all.

Every spiritual blessing

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

What’s special is seeing a double rainbow in the skies, after the rain. Like that, there’s a beautiful grace that overarches our lives, in Jesus. Knowing the Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing, is a comfort. We are able to step in to all God has called us to, with boldness and faith.

Thanks Father God, praise you for your mercies and grace and that we can live in every spiritual blessing in Jesus.

Fixing our lives to Jesus

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

I like reading the news each day. Sometimes, there’s a really good article. We can pin our lives to news headlines or latest trends, or we can fix our lives to the living Word of God. As we seek Him at every turn, God will flatten the way before us. What has the Holy Spirit shown you lately? God has answers that are even beyond our comprehension, so that we can lean on not our understanding, instead leaning on the Spirit of God.

Thanks Jesus, you are my inspiration. I want to be close to you.

Believing the best

Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

Being near the good shepherd, is a worry free life. You know that the goodness and mercy of the Lord is there, following you all the days of your life. Get swept up into the love of God and you will live life beaming. Wherever you go, there is Jesus. You have a dwelling place in the Lord forever. We are living in a time that we are seeing the promise of God fulfilled, a time of real miracles and answered prayers. What are you believing for at the moment?

Lord Jesus, I love dwelling in your house always. Thanks for your goodness and mercy. Believing to see real miracles in our time, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Remembering Jesus

He was saying, “Abba, Father! All things are possible for You; take this cup [of judgement] away from Me; but not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:36

The hardest times are the closest to the Lord. Jesus knew God could rescue Him from the pain, still He surrendered to God. We read about Jesus agonising about the journey of suffering He was about to embark on. And yet, because of the hardships Jesus went through, He can also understand our sufferings. He is there to comfort and listen and love us. When you are low, remember He is high, ready to pick you up and bring you peace.

Lord Jesus, I remember you, thank you for the path you took for our salvation. Help me draw near to you, because I know you understand.

Prayer of blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

There is a key in biblical declarations and spoken prayers. As you pray for your loved ones, knowing the Lord backs up the Word; what happens from heaven to earth is undeniable. The power of God really makes an impact as we stretch ourselves in prayer. Believing prayers of blessing and of peace  make a generational difference. What could you practically ask God today?

Thanks Lord Jesus, your blessing and keeping power is what I’m believing for, that my family and friends will be blessed.

Jesus’ love

I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1

The Lord has a love that is so precious that He loves us unconditionally and we are blessed to receive the love of God each day. Have you a testimony of the love of the Lord in your life? How good is God! Jesus is always there for us and protects and helps in every season. Like the skies above us, Jesus has a love just as high.

Thanks Jesus, I love celebrating your love. Help me to remember that you love me each day, amen

Moments being with Jesus

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

Discipleship doesn’t just happen, there’s an intentionality about helping people grow in their faith. Turning to Jesus is what we do each day afresh. Moments being with Jesus are like stepping into sunlight. Sunlight you want to share to those alongside you. What is something small you could to that might encourage someone in their faith in Jesus?

Lord Jesus, thanks for small opportunities to share who you are with those close to me.
