Believing in Jesus

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."  Romans 1:16

The gospel is the power of God. If we hold back from preaching the gospel, what are we going to miss out on? People may be surprised when they hear that everyone of us doesn’t measure up to the perfection of God and that the good news is Jesus gave His life for our forgiveness and to be in real relationship with God. If anyone of us was good enough, we could equate our goodness to salvation, yet that is not the case. “For it is by grace you have been saved,through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9 What a precious gift from the Lord to us, religion doesn’t offer that, only Jesus. When we shy away from telling people what is true, we may unintentionally rob them of the opportunity of meeting the Lord in a radical way.

Heavenly Father, thanks for the blessing of the gospel. Help us to have boldness and grace to preach the gospel to all.
